This model will replace the discontinued Oregon 300. Exciting new features on the 450 include a 3” sunlight-readable colour touchscreen with enhanced clarity, high-speed USB for faster map transfers with your computer, plus a 3-axis tilt-compensated compass. This compass will allow the unit to report an accurate heading even when the unit is not held level. The Oregon 450 includes major tracks, urban and rural roads, interstates, highways, coastlines, rivers and lakes as well as national, state and local parks, forests and wilderness areas. In addition the Oregon 450 (when loaded with optional Topo Australia mapping) allows you to search for points of interest by name or proximity to your location and view descriptive details for terrain contours, topo elevations, summits and geographical points.  The Oregon 450 and 450t both have high-sensitivity GPS receivers with HotFix™. HotFix satellite prediction helps find your position quickly and precisely while the high-sensitivity GPS maintains its signal even in heavy cover and deep canyons. Both units support paperless geocaching, 3-D elevation perspective and Garmin Custom Maps.
